Dr. Michael Angarone is an Associate Professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Feinberg School of Medicine. His area of specialty is in the treatment, outcomes, and epidemiology of infections in immune suppressed individuals, with a specific focus on transplant recipients and hematologic malignancies. He has research collaborations at multiple transplant institutions throughout the United States. Dr. Angarone is a panel member for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Cancer-related Infections. He also has an interest in medical education and is the Director of the senior medical student sub-internship and the director of the Introduction to Clinical Practice course at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Angarone received his DO degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic medicine and completed his infectious disease training at Northwestern University
