Meghan Baker, MD, ScD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. She also practices medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is the Hospital Epidemiologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Baker’s work focuses on the use of electronic health records and other routinely collected electronic health data to improve patient safety. She has a particular interest in the detection of clusters of hospital acquired infections and is currently leading the CLUSTER Trial, a cluster-randomized trial to assess a statistically‐based automated method to improve detection of hospital clusters.
