Dr. Tillekeratne is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Duke University and at the Duke Global Health Institute. She is also Adjunct Professor at the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. Her research interests focus on optimizing the diagnosis and management of respiratory tract infection in low-resource settings, especially with regards to antimicrobial use. She is involved in surveillance studies to detect emerging causes of acute febrile and acute respiratory infection in Sri Lanka.
