Dr. Olivier is a Senior Clinician in the Laboratory of Chronic Airway Infection and Chief of the Pulmonary Branch in the Division of Intramural Research at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, NIH. His research is focused on pathogenesis and population characteristics of bronchiectasis and chronic airway infection such as the nontuberculous mycobacteria and he has been actively engaged in therapeutics development in these areas. Dr Olivier was a member of the guidelines committees for diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary nontuberculous mycobacteria in cystic fibrosis and the recently revised guidelines in non-CF patients.
