Dave Glidden, Ph.D. is a professor of biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco. His primary interest in the treatment and prevention of HIV infections. My work has a particular focus on HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). I was the statistician for the iPrEx trial which established the efficacy in truvada PrEP in men who have sex with men. A particular recent focus has been the design of trials of new PrEP agents in an era where there are numerous effective PrEP modalities.
