I am a pediatrician who leads the viral pneumonia team in the Casanova lab at the Rockefeller University. We study the human genetics of a variety of infectious diseases. My current work focuses on type I IFN immunity in the host defense against viral infections, including influenza and COVID-19 pneumonia.
