Dr. José M. Miró is Senior Consultant of Infectious Diseases at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, Professor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, IDIBAPS researcher and Director of the Master on HIV/AIDS at the University of Barcelona. Dr. Miro was past President of GESIDA (1997-99) and SEIMC (2013-15) and is the current President of the ISCVID (2019-23). His research fields are focused on several fields of the HIV/AIDS (acute HIV-infection, late presenters and cohorts), the solid organ transplantation in HIV-infected patients, infective endocarditis (including the experimental model) and COVID-19.
