Emmanuel Mugisha

Dr. Emmanuel Mugisha is a Ugandan public health specialist with close to 30 years of experience in research, public health program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, as well as project management for nongovernmental organizations at local, national and international levels. His work has spanned across many health/disease areas including HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, vaccines and immunizations, health policy and health systems strengthening. He has worked with many different donors while collaborating with governments, academia and other implementing partners.

Dr Mugisha is a very passionate about vaccines as a tool for disease prevention, including vaccine clinical trials, new vaccine introduction, implementation and monitoring. A strong supporter of data driven and bottom up solutions to improve health systems in low and middle income countries.
