Dr. Knackstedt received her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency and pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at the University of Utah, where she also served as Chief Resident. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, and is the Medical Director of Transplant/Immunocompromised Infectious Diseases at Primary Children’s Hospital. Dr. Knackstedt’s clinical interests include infections in immunocompromised children, including oncology, hematopoietic stem cell transplants, and solid organ transplant recipients. She is interested in quality improvement and delivering value-based care to this special population. Dr. Knackstedt is also interested in the long-term care of children with HIV.
