Teresa Zembower, MD, MPH, FIDSA, FSHEA, is an Associate Professor of Medicine/Infectious Diseases and of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She serves as Medical Director of Healthcare Epidemiology and Infection Prevention and as Associate Medical Director of Clinical Microbiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She is a member of IDSA, SHEA, ASM and American College of Physicians and serves on the IDSA Clinical Affairs Committee and on the SHEA Education Committee. Her primary clinical interests include providing high-quality patient care and teaching infectious diseases, healthcare epidemiology, antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship and clinical microbiology. Her research interests involve the intersection of these fields to answer questions related to drug-resistant and emerging pathogens.
