Dr. Basgoz is the Associate Chief and Clinical Director of the Infectious Disease Division at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. In 2019, she was named the first incumbent of the Master Clinician Chair in Infectious Disease at MGH.
Dr. Basgoz' maintains a large clinical practice in HIV primary care as well as consultative infectious diseases. Her clinical responsibilities the include design and operation of the inpatient and outpatient services, as well as integration of clinical services with educational and research missions. She is the past chair of the Clinical Council of the Department of Internal Medicine. She has served as the physician trustee on the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Partners Healthcare Board of Trustees.
Dr. Basgoz also has a major role in medical education, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows. She is the Chief of the James Jackson Firm in the Department of Internal Medicine.
