Dr. Cecile Lahiri is an Associate Professor in the Emory Department of Medicine and Division of Infectious Diseases. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and completed residency, fellowship, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Research at Emory University. Dr. Lahiri’s NIH-funded research focuses on antiretroviral therapy in the context of toxicities/side effects, HIV cure/eradication, and co-morbidities, with a specific emphasis on the impact of sex. Her other research interests are in the assessment of anal cancer risk and prevention in persons living with HIV, and she is a nationally-certified anoscopist. Dr. Lahiri is the current M-PI and Director of Research Development for the Emory Specialized Center of Research Excellence in Sex Differences and a Co-Investigator for the MACS/WIHS Combined Cohort Study.
