Ramnath Subbaraman, MD, MSc, FACP is an assistant professor in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine. He is also an attending physician in the Division of Geographic Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Tufts Medical Center and associate director of the Tufts Center for Global Public Health. Dr. Subbaraman is an infectious diseases physician and epidemiologist who conducts implementation science research focused on identifying deficiencies in care across multiple points in the TB care cascade to facilitate the development of patient-centered interventions. His research understanding the acceptability and accuracy of digital adherence technologies for TB in India has been conducted in collaboration with colleagues at the National Institute for Research in TB in Chennai and was supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He also conducts research to better understand social determinants of health in urban slums in India, currently with support from the sociology program of the National Science Foundation.
