Vandana Madhavan, MD, MPH, is Clinical Director of Pediatric Infectious Disease and a primary care pediatrician at MassGeneral Hospital for Children, as well as Site Director of the Pediatric Advanced Clerkship, Co-Director of the Pediatric Clinical Capstone and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. For over five years, she has led telemedicine initiatives for Pediatric ID and Pediatric Hospital Medicine, presenting locally, regionally and nationally and receiving the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Hospital Medicine Abstract Research Award for a pilot study on post-discharge virtual visits. Other academic and clinical interests include tuberculosis (serving on state committees), childhood vaccinations, quality improvement, health equity, professional coaching, and undergraduate/graduate medical education. Dr. Madhavan is a key member of the pediatric leadership team developing hospital system and local COVID-19 guidance and providing community education. She is a member of the PIDS Clinical Affairs Committee.
